2004 THRUXTON 900
Take
a Bonneville's air-cooled, parallel-twin cylinder engine and add a dollop of
extra capacity to take it to 865cc. Hop it up with hot cams, new carburetors and
megaphone-style silencers for more power and torque, everywhere. Polish the
engine covers.
Don't stop there - Fit drop handlebars and rearward-set footpegs, revise the telescopic forks and rear shock and tweak the steering geometry. Clamp on a larger, fully-floating front disc with two-piston caliper.
Finish off the svelte lines with aluminum wheels, a shorty front mudguard, a racing-style seat hump and a chequered tank design... But you don't have to. We've done it for you.
The original Bonneville Thruxtons, with their legendary wins on the race-track, inspired the street racers of the ´60´s. Now the stylish new Thruxton 900 is set to captivate a whole new generation of riders.
